The Brief Behavioral Activation Treatment for Depression (BATD-R) guides reinforcing activities to intervene depressive symptomatology. The objective was to establish the effect of BATD-G on a non-probabilistic sample of six military men deprived of freedom with depression. A single case study A-B with follow-up was used. The instruments were the Environmental Reward Observation Scale, the Behavioral Activation for Depression Scale, the Zung Scale for depression and the Daily Monitoring Formats. It was found that BATD-G was effective according to statistically significant differences between baseline and treatment, as well as the stability of the change in follow-up. The effect sizes were large according to the non-overlapping of all pairs in depressive, healthy and mood behaviors. It was concluded that the intervention was effective in group format for this population, and were consistent with the theories of behavioral activation.
