The research aimed to estimate the psychometric properties of the Reward Probability Index (RPI) in a Colombian sample of 1129 participants, which has been randomly divided into two groups (564; =565). The results show that (RPI) has adequated levels of reliability based on Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's Omega results, as well as evidence of content validity, significant correlations of high magnitude with other measures such as the Zung depression scale (r = -. 74), EROS (r = .79) and the full version of the BADS (r = .70). In the EFA, the RPI showed a two-dimensional factorial structures that explains 43.54% of the variance, reported in the literature, as well as adequate goodness-of-fit indexes in the CFA for a two-factor model.
This scale presents the psychometric properties of adequate reliability and validity, which allows its use as a reliable measure of the RCPR in the Colombian population at the research level and in the Clinical context.
