Validación del emotional regulation questionnaire (ERQ) en una muestra de adultos Colombianos.
Vélez Ocampo, Carlos Humberto | 2020
The Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) is a valuable tool to assess individual
strategies regarding emotional regulation. Unfortunately, currently exist few validated instruments
in Colombia, and the presence of disorders and difficulties related to this ability is quite recurrent.
The aim of this paper to validate a questionnaire in the Colombian population. Exactly 565 people
between 18 and 69 ages within a test sample from different regions of the national territory; after
carrying out both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, it was possible to corroborate the
structure of two unrelated factors (emotional suppression and cognitive re-evaluation) proposed
by the original model, as well as excellent measures of goodness-of-adjustment. Reliable measures
of internal and concurrent consistency were also identified with and low correlations with related
constructs such as the DERS and DASS-21.
