The objective of the present study was to estimate the psychometric properties of the adapted
Perseverative Thinking Questionnaire on academic performance (PTQ-RA) in the
Colombian population, for this convenience sample of 300 university students of different
careers, universities and strata of legal age from Bogotá with an average age of 21,67, of
which 65.9% (196) were women, while 34.7% (104) were men, most of the students belonged
to the tenth semester and were studying for an undergraduate degree in psychology. A degree
of agreement between judges was found according to Kendall´s W of 0,75 with p<0.005. An
EFA was carried out with RStudio program, finding that 9 of the factors indicate that a single
factor would explain 47% of the variance, CFA is also carried out, the general fit of the
unifactorial model was good X2 (27) = 184.256, p<0.001, there is an internal consistency
with ordinal Alpha greater than or equal to 0.87 in all items. Finally, the test showed low
significant correlations with GPT, GTQ questionnaires and DASS21 subscale.
