It begins by making the differentiation between science, epistemology and research, there are two theoretical perspectives in which the different epistemological currents that are related to science are classified. It mentions the basic characteristics of the different theoretical perspectives, allowing comparisons between them, and mentioning the most relevant ones: dialectical materialism, positivism and structuralism.
