Bianchi Salguero, Javier Mauricio | 2021
The relationships among Behavioral Activation, Contingent Positive Response Reinforcement and Emotional Symptoms variables were estimated in a sample of 1294 Colombian in ages between 18 to 75 years (x̄ = 25.4; SD = 8.38) using a descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional non-experimental. Variables were evaluated using the BADS-SF, RPI, EROS and DASS-21 instruments which are validated scales in the Colombian population, and with good reliability indices (α>.8; α>.9). Descriptive analyzes and Spearman correlations were made and there were found significant correlations in all the variables (p < .001), with positive relationships of strong and moderate magnitude (𝑟𝑠=>.69) among Perception of Environmental Reinforcement, Probability of Reward and Activation; while there were negative correlation with Emotional Symptoms, Avoidance and Environmental Suppressors. These results are discussed in the light of the literature that confirms that, the higher the Activation and Positive Contingent Reinforcement of the Response, the lower the Emotional Symptoms.
