Through the years, violence within the family has increased in the country, thus evidencing the need to develop an approach from the promotion and prevention, so that these rates of violence within the institution of the family. For this reason the need arose to describe the sociodemographic characteristics, Emotional Intelligence factors and Resilience in couples with intrafamily violence. For this, a sample of 186 people was approached, which made up a total of 93 couples selected at convenience, where their main characteristic is that they had suffered domestic violence and had protection measures. The instruments used were the Sociodemographic Information Questionnaire, the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and TMMS-24. In these participants, in relation to the type of violence, it was possible to show that the psychological type prevails with the highest percentage of response, then physical abuse, followed by verbal abuse. That more than half of the participants do not receive or have never attended psychological therapy, that intrafamily violence occurs between couples, regardless of their educational aspect, the most frequent factors were the consumption of alcoholic beverages, the economic aspect, lack of communication , time management and responsibilities.
