The purpose of this study was to validate by judges the BATD-GB protocol, which adapts the BATD-G protocol to 6 sessions instead of 11. 13 expert judges participated in the validation of the protocol, who judged it in terms of its clarity, fidelity, amount of activities per session and coherence. The result of the interjudge agreement showed a fair index for clarity ( 𝜅free=.42), fidelity( 𝜅free=.43) and writing and spelling ( 𝜅free= .41), on the other hand, amount of activities per session ( 𝜅free=.64) and coherence ( 𝜅free=.79) showed a substantial index. The mean scores oscillated between 3.14 and 3.92, the lower scores came from the writing and spelling criteria. The median scores were 4 for every criterion and every session, excluding writing and spelling, which oscillated between 3 and 4 according to the session. After observing the means and medians obtained per session and the qualitative analysis of the comments made by the judges, it can be concluded that the BATD-GB is a complete protocol, that maintains the main characteristics of the BATD-G, as well as those of other BA and group therapies. The possible effectiveness and efficacy of the BATD-GB is discussed in light of the evidence for brief treatments for depression. and that it can be helpful in the treatment of depression.
