The study consisted of identifying coping strategies associated with the magnitude of the symptoms of post-traumatic stress, in 50 Police of Colombia with a recent traumatic event and eight months later. The Symptom List was applied for the diagnosis of PTSD and the Modified Coping Strategies test-EEC-M. The study is a non-experimental quantitative prospective relational type of a single cohort. Data were analyzed with IBM SPSS 25, through descriptive statistics and correlations. It was found that the magnitude of the symptoms of PTSD in the recent event, has a positive relationship with the Denial and a high significance with a negative tendency towards Problem Solving; the magnitude of PTSD symptoms eight months later, has a positive relationship with Denial, Emotional Avoidance and the Search for Professional Support; The coping strategies of Denial (NEG), Emotional Avoidance (EE) and Search for Professional Support (BAP) are significant predictors of PTSD.

The objective of the present investigation is to analyze the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Inventory of Statements About Self - Injury ISAS in a sample of 605 Colombian adolescents, aged between 13 and 17 years. A psychometric study of the ISAS Scale was carried out with 39 items and later a sychometric study with a reduced version of 30 items (ISAS). The items showed appropriate saturation values, showing relations with ranges for factor 1 between 0.409 (Item 9) and 0.932 (Item 34) and for factor 2, ranges between 0.455 (item 32) and 0.826 (item 19). The Barlett sphericity test (P <0.000010) was significant and the Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) sample adequacy test (0.91586) indicated that the data are susceptible for exploratory factor analysis with a two-factor structure. It is concluded that the reduced version of ISAS (30 items) has adequate psychometric properties to measure self-harm in Colombian adolescents. Similarly, different applied instruments allowed correlations involving cognitive components with private events, stressful states and decreased mood, with anxiety behaviors related to the intrapersonal factor, emotional regulation associated with emotional intelligence levels, with the interpersonal factor.

Training based on the Relational Frame Theory (RFT) generates behavioral changes in the population with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This study aims to conduct training in naming in adults with ASD of 18, 22 and 29 years with rudimentary verbal repertoire, through a unique A-B case desing with follow-up through pre-test and post-test. The results in the dependent variables were problem solving, 60% margin and 66% of the solution in the post-test; novel behavior increase 6, 9 and 21 behaviors; rule tracking participants followed the rule with 52%, 64%, 18%. Naming (independent variable) showed a differential score in tests of productive denomination (68%, 33% and 34%) and receptive nomenclature (33%, 34%, 34%). This study shows the impact that TMR training has on improving language and cognition skills.

The objective of this research was to estimate the psychometric properties of the Behavioral Activation for Depression Scale Short Form (BADS-SF) in a Colombian sample of 388 participants divided randomly into two groups (n = 194). The results show that it has adequate levels of reliability estimated based on Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's Omega, as well as evidence of content validity, significant correlations of high magnitude with other measures such as EROS (r = .693), the scale of depression of ZUNG (r = -. 620) and the full version of BADS (r = .774). In the AFE, the BADS-SF showed a factorial structure with two dimensions that explain 54.2% of the variance in agreement with that reported in the literature, as well as adequate goodness-of-fit indexes in the CFA for a two-factor model with elimination of item 8. This scale presents adequate psychometric properties of reliability and validity that allow its use in the Colombian population in the Clinical context, although susceptible to improvement.

The present study investigated the efficacy of a brief protocol based on the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) without Exposure of five (5) sessions in people who complied with the diagnoses for Panic Disorder (N = 5) using a multiple baseline design No concurrent, randomized among participants. Two of the participants showed a baseline with an improvement trend and were excluded from the statistical analysis; the remaining participants showed large effects in the measures AAQ-II, DASS-21 / Depression, DASS-21 / Anxiety, DASS-21 / Stress, DASS-21 / Total, VQ / Obstruction, CFQ and PSWQ-11 (> 0, 80), an exception of the VQ / Progress that evidences in the treatment (<0.2). Directions for future research are discussed. Key words: Panic disorder, Acceptance therapy and Commitment, concern, emotional symptomatology, brief therapy.

The objective of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of a generalized tracking questionnaire (GTQ-C) in a sample of 752 Colombian children and adolescents. In so doing, an instrumental study was conducted. After carrying out the theoretical review, items were designed according to the Colombian, Spanish language and context that reflected the construct to be evaluated. The GTQ-C obtained an acceptable Cronbach's alpha of .767. Analysis of the factorial structure revealed that the GTQ-C is represented by a single factor, as expected. The GTQ-C showed the following significant correlations with other applied instruments (generalized pliance: r = .11, p = .004; generalized pliance in school: r = .29, p <.001; generalized tracking in school: r =. 55, p <.001). The GTQ-C presented adequate psychometric properties to evaluate generalized tracking in Colombian children and adolescents.

Bulimia Nervosa (BN) has an important prevalence and the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which became the first choice for its intervention due to the empirical evidence obtained. However, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy has been very well received because it is a transdiagnostic treatment although few studies have been conducted in eating disorders. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of a brief ACT protocol focused on dismantling patterns of repetitive negative thinking in people suffering from BN. In the results, it was possible to find an initial favorable view of the behavior of the therapy in this population, suggesting the need to continue replicating the work done and developing new strategies from ACT that favor improvement in this population.

Several studies indicate that training in interpersonal skills, develop better social interactions and in turn, decreases the likelihood of emotional difficulties and behavioral alterations such as self or hetero-aggression, associated with the deficit of interactions or failure in them. On the other hand, it is found that in the country, the interventional studies that support the impact of such training on social interactions are very few, limited to descriptive methodologies, correlations and theoretical revisions. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of Interpersonal Skills training on children with Colombian Asperger syndrome. This project refers to 24 children with Asperger syndrome (between 7 and 15 years old). Quasi-experimental design with pre-posttest measures and control group on the waiting list. After the intervention in interpersonal skills, children with SA (Asperger syndrome) of the experimental group showed statistically significant differences in the levels of Interpersonal Conflict Resolution and Adaptation Skills.

Correlation analyzes were performed based on the results obtained from the Avoidance and Fusion Questionnaire – Youth AFQ-Y, the Perseverative Thinking Questionnaire – Children PTQ-C and Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale DASS-21, intrapersonal measures, and the Generalized Pliance Questionnaire – Children GPQ-C and the Assessment of Interpersonal Conflict Resolution ESCI, interpersonal measures, showing significant relationships with a level of p = 0.05 between intrapersonal measures and GPQ-C, indicating that the greater the tendency to follow problematic rules, the greater the presence of fusion patterns, avoidance and rumination of negative thoughts, anxiety, depression and stress.

Depression is a disorder that has been occurring with high frequency in the adolescent population, putting at risk the quality of life of those who suffer and their life. Behavioral Activation (AC) therapy has proven to be an effective treatment to combat it. It was proposed to implement The Brief Behavioral Activation Protocol for Depression (BATD-R) given its characteristics, which allow easy adherence to treatment. The objective was to estimate the effect of treatment on depressive symptomatology in six adolescents between 12 and 18 years of age diagnosed with this disorder that meet the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Brief Behavioral Activation Protocol for Depression (BATD-R) with a duration of one hour per week for ten weeks was applied to the participants. The main hypothesis was that the depressive behaviors of the consultants would decrease, and increase the healthy behaviors. The results showed that the application of the BATD-R in adolescents has a significant effect on the decrease of symptoms presented by an episode of depression or Major Depression Disorder, and also has an impact on healthy, depressive behaviors and reports of mood with statistically significant effect sizes for the three variables analyzed.

The relationship between dating violence, attachment and psychological well-being was evaluated in 150 participants from Bogotá, between 18 and 22 years old (x̄ = 20 / desvest = 1.4) with a minimum dating relationship of 3 months, a Non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, it was applied the Psychological Wellbeing Scale for Adults (EBP), Conflicts in Adolescents Dating Relationships Inventory (CADRI), Collins Adult-Revised Attachment (AAS ) (Adaptation to the Chilean context), IBM SPSS (v. 25) was used through descriptive statistics, normality tests to evidence the distribution of data and correlational analysis of correlation coefficients for scale variables. It was found that verbal-emotional violence is the highest prevalence, directly proportional relationships between psychological well-being and the dimensions of closeness and dependence were evidenced and inversely proportional to the anxiety dimension.

The purpose of this research was to identify the psychometric properties of the Acceptance and Commitment Questionnaire in university students (AAQ-US) in a Colombian context.This instrument originally created by Levin, Kraff, Pistorello and Seeley (2018) measures psychological flexibility in university students. The study had an instrumental design (Montero and León, 2002) in which the idiomatic adaptation of the instrument was performed, with a type of sampling for convenience. It was applied to a group of 352 students, of legal age, with a representation of 61% in women and 39% in men, volunteer participants from 25 universities in Bogotá, seeking a relationship of more than 25 participants per item. Reliability analysis was performed with the calculation of Cronbach's alpha coefficient, finding a reliability index α = .90 showing a high internal consistency. Additionally, the exploratory factor analysis was developed with the main component technique in which the existence of a single factor was identified, finally the sources of external evidence of the test were evaluated by analyzing the correlations with the DASS-21 test and the AAQ-II, finding positive correlations between the scales.

Informal caregivers have a high prevalence of emotional problems, and they often do not receive short and effective psychological treatments. This study aims to evaluate whether the adaptation to Spanish of a single session Behavioral Activation treatment, designed by Read et al. (2016), can reduce depression and stress, and increase general well-being in a Colombian sample of caregivers. A quasi-experimental design of repeated measures with a non-equivalent control group was used. Significant differences were found between the groups in posttest measurements in Depression-DASS-21, BADS-SF, SWLS and EROS; the repeated measures analysis of the experimental group showed significant differences in Depression-DASS-21, Avoidance-BADS-SF, Stress-DASS-21, SWLS and EROS. The findings show that this treatment can be effective in the short term, but its effects are reduced in two months. The reasons for this phenomenon are analyzed and new lines of research and treatment strengthening are suggested.

According to recent research, repetitive negative thinking (PNR) is a recurring feature in the course of different psychopathologies that can be treated through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of a 6-week ACT protocol, applied through cross-platform technologies, on emotional symptoms, psychological flexibility, and PNR in university students. The participants evaluated (N = 91) were randomly assigned to an online therapy program (iACT, n = 46) or to a waiting list group (WLC, n = 45). The statistical analysis showed significant differences between the iACT and WLC groups, and the estimated effect sizes for these measures were medium to high. It is concluded that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy administered by the Internet has effects for the treatment of PNR, emotional symptoms and improvements in ACT processes.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to demonstrate the effect of training on fluency and flexibility in the coordination, opposition and comparison frameworks on intelligence scores. The instruments used to obtain these scores were the organizer test, pattern design and the Kbit brief intelligence test, as well as the neuropsychological battery of executive functions and frontal lobes-2 (BANFE-II). The design was a control group with a pretest-posttest with a waiting list, having a sample of 34 children between 6 and 8 years of age with low income, the groups were made up of 17 participants for the control group and for the experimental group. The results show an increase in the IQ score and the gain scores in the 2 groups for the K-bit tests and the organizer test but, in the pattern designs test there were significant differences only in the experimental group, the correlations are discussed with executive functions and the possible interference of learning potential tests, in addition to the control of learning effects and selection biases, as well as the need to explore sociodemographic variables that could be associated with the results.

The first phase concludes with the adjusted Interview Guide, while the second phase indicates the level of agreement between the expert judges when using the adjusted Interview Guide to complete the HCR-20. The statistical analysis established significance in all cases and the qualitative analysis of item concordance showed the predominance of total and partial agreement from the expert judges. These results indicate that the adjusted interview guide has measures of content validity for use in the application of the HCR-20, but not enough given the limitations that were found.

The executive functions, from a neuropsychological point of view, are understood as the activation of the prefrontal cortex for the performance of tasks of high psychological demand. It is a correlational descriptive study; whose main objective is to determine if there is any kind of relationship between a neuropsychological field variable and two variables of the functional context previously selected. As a sample, 93 adolescent participants between 12 and 15 years of age were attending secondary school. See the application 4 subtests of the BANFE neuropsychological battery and 5 questionnaires of emotional states (anxiety, stress, depression, psychological flexibility). The results showed a relationship between the selected variables; showing that, given greater follow-up of tracking type rules, greater cognitive flexibility and self-regulation, likewise, significant differences were found between men and women.

The objective of this research was to estimate into a Colombian sample the psychometric properties of Brief Sensation Seeking Scale (BSSS). The results reveal, firstly, an adequate linguistic adaptation through the items clarity evaluation, acceptable internal consistency indices which were estimated from the Cronbach’s Alpha and the McDonald’s Omega (α=.80, ω=.81) y (α=.78, ω=.78) for the 8 and 4 items versions respectively, a convergent validity which was evaluated through the correlations with the Barrat Impulsivity Scale (BIS) (𝑟𝑆=.401, p=.000). Finally, by the front of the internal structure, the model that best fit is the one with 2 factors for the 8 items version and 1 factor for the 4 items version. This scale represents adequate psychometrics properties of reliability and validity, as a result, that means that its allow to use the scale into a Colombian population. However, it is not advisable to make a diagnosis.
