Representaciones sociales del smartphone y prácticas de consumo en aprendices del SENA de la ciudad de Bogotá

Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify the central core of social representations and their peripheral elements, in addition to the consumption practices associated with the Smartphone, in SENA students between 18 and 24 years of age, from strata 1 and 2 in the city of Bogota, without labor ties and economically dependent. The research is qualitative with a hermeneutic method, applying triangulation of information sources collected with interviews to subjects linked to the entity. The analysis of the data obtained was carried out by means of open, axial and selective coding through the N-Vivo 12 software. A close relationship was found between happiness, perceived status and social recognition through the use of Smartphone tools. Regarding consumption practices, elements and ritual practices were found in the use and acquisition of new equipment, in addition to brand preferences.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar el núcleo central de las representaciones sociales y sus elementos periféricos, además de las prácticas de consumo asociadas al Smartphone, en estudiantes del Sena con edades entre los 18 y los 24 años, de estratos 1 y 2 en la ciudad de Bogotá, sin vínculo laboral y dependientes económicamente. La investigación es cualitativa con un método hermenéutico, aplicando triangulación de fuentes de información recaudada con entrevistas a sujetos vinculados con la entidad. El análisis de los datos obtenidos se realizó mediante codificación abierta, axial y selectiva a través del Software N-Vivo 12. Se encontró una estrecha relación entre la alegría, el estatus percibido y el reconocimiento social por el uso de herramientas del Smartphone. Frente a las prácticas de consumo se hallan elementos y prácticas rituales en el uso y adquisición de nuevos equipos, además de preferencias en marcas.
