Studies such as Kaeding, et al (2017), show the correlation between dysfunctional schemas and academic burnout, even as a predictor, being more severe for those who experience high burnout. This is why, it is investigated how dysfunctional schemas have a correlation with academic burnout in clinical psychology trainees of the Konrad Lorenz University Foundation (FUKL). Given the above, the variables were evaluated using the Dysfunctional Attitude Scale Revised (DAS-R) and the Student Inventory-Student Survey (MBISS) instruments, where the research found that there is no correlation between the academic burnout variable and dysfunctional schemas as a total construct, however, there is a correlation between the subscales of the same instruments, which, finding correlation in this research is crucial to build a scientific and critical reflection in the training of university students.
